Karen Jaskot, ACSW, CAC

"I am constantly in awe of the strengths of the human spirit. My personal mission when assisting clients is to draw upon those strengths so that the individuals, couples, and families that I work with develop and implement a strategy that they have helped to create. This allows the client's successes to truly be their own to celebrate."

Karen Jaskot has been working with individuals, couples, and families since 1986. A native of Michigan, she moved in the summer of 2001 with her husband and children to the Susquehanna Valley. She received her bachelor's degree in social work from Marygrove College in 1986 and her master's degree from Wayne State University in 1987.
In 1988, she became a residential therapist at the Henry Ford Hospital Maplegrove Center for clients with substance abuse problems. She has worked with addicts and their families throughout her career, and she has a solid understanding of addiction and recovery. She achieved Certification as an Addictions Counselor in 1987.
In 1994 Karen became the Outpatient Supervisor of Adult and Adolescent Services at Maplegrove. She developed and implemented numerous programs, including an intensive outpatient program for adolescents which received national recognition. As a result, Karen has been interviewed by numerous radio and television stations such as CNN and Metro Detroit. In 1999 she was honored to serve on a committee for the United States Senate to address the drug and alcohol problems of our nation's youth.
Karen was the Clinical Supervisor at TEAM EAP before joining Franco Psychological Associates in the fall of 2001. In addition to her professional work, Karen is very active in church activities and volunteers at her children's school and hockey events. She enjoys crafts, painting and traveling.
