Davis C. Tracy, PhD

        Dr. Tracy received a bachelor's degree in Social Psychology from Lehigh University in 1970. From 1970 to 1972 he served as a United States Army Officer. In 1974 he received a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Connecticut and worked in community mental health centers and state hospitals in New Hampshire and Tennessee. In 1981 he received a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Tennessee.
        In 1982 he was chosen as director of the Dickinson College Counseling Services and since that time has also been a faculty member in the Psychology Department.
        He has provided both individual and group psychotherapy to undergraduate students and adults specializing in helping clients with eating disorders, major depressive episodes, and anxiety disorders.
        Dr. Tracy has a special interest in outdoor adventure based education and therapeutic interventions; he has been a consultant with both Tressler Care Wilderness School and Baltimore Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School and is a graduate of four Outward Bound courses. He was on the board of the Yellow Breeches Educational Center.
        Dr. Tracy joined Franco Psychological Associates in 1987 where his work includes individual. Family, and couples therapy. He resides in Gardners, PA with his wife. They have one grown daughter.
